Weigh in: lost half a pound.
Not bad when I screwed up my diet and then, in the middle of it all, switched the intentions, and barely got out (though walking a crap ton at school helped, I expect!).

Week One - Friday
Ooooh boy, did I ever blow this new fangled diet. I just switched the intentions of my MyPlate thing, so that helped, but I went over my weekly allotment of sugar already. I figured that out this morning, and have decided to go whole hog and ignore the sugar count for the nest two days. I'll still watch my fat intake, of course.
I did, however, get out more. Monday was supposed to be a run, but I took Regulus with me and too short a leash, so it turned into a one mile training session for him rather than a two mile walk/run for me, lol. I made the effort to do some core stuff, though. I also walked five miles this morning. Which burned over a thousand calories, to my surprise.
I'll do a weigh in on Sunday.

Analysis
Diet: Vegetarian
Exercise:
http://www.livestrong.com/myplate/ (more for calorie counts than anything)
http://dailyburn.com (exercise stuff)
I will attempt to check in twice a week and record my progress, with weekly weigh-ins. Thursdays will be hard, because of school, but other than that I will do it!
Along those lines, I'm going to post recipes and commentary, mostly for later use.
- Too much fat, too much sugar, too many carbs. Not enough fiber, not enough protein.
- For all that, my calorie count is low. Very low. Yesterday was in the negatives.
Exercise:
- Anywhere from one to three hours of yardwork most mornings. Mostly medium to heavy, as it includes laying cement, weeding (and Bermuda grass is EVIL), moving heavy wheel barrows, etc.
- A couple times a month I get out and run a mile or so, walking a mile, too.
- More protein
- Way less sugar
- fewer carbs
- run four times a week in the morning. If I go out the night before, run that afternoon.
- three times a week, work other muscles (arms and core, primarily). Do yoga for preference.
- Get up at six am
- Sit on my rump less

Introductions are in order, yes?
I doubt anyone will ever find this, but hey, I'm not doing this for anyone else. :) If you do see this, hello!
Anyway.
The purpose of The Fat Kid Files is for me to document and encourage myself to get un-fat. I don't think I look it, but I'm about 182 pounds. :( Not cool. So, I've decided that I'm going to change that.
Long term goal: be twenty pounds lighter by Christmas.
Monthly goal: drop five pounds
I'll be back tomorrow with some rather brutal examinations of my diet/exercise habits along with what the hell I'm going to do about it!
